EYE-SW crucial military/civil flight and navigation safety

Aselsan Electro-Optical Systems has introduced a new thermal camera family. The EYE-SW Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) Thermal Camera will be introduced to the public at IDEF for the first time.

Thanks to its top level environmental awareness on severe weather conditions like fog, haze etc. EYE-SW will be adapted to air platforms following design and integration studies in the coming years. It will be possible to provide supportive data to pilots under low or poor visibility conditions and increase the military/civil flight and navigation safety.

All of EYE-SW’s critical sub-systems have been locally designed and developed by Aselsan. R&D studies directed by the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries SSM are performed by Aselsan, METU, and Sivas Cumhuriyet University within the scope of the KANGAL Project and have been moved ahead by Aselsan with high performance detector prototypes, produced in Turkey.
