Supplying NGO Norwegian People´s Aid clearing mines and other UXOs worldwide
“We are operating in Africa, the Middle East and parts of Europe to address the lethal problem of unexploded ordnance (UXO) plaguing populations in a post-conflict era. Logically, Latin America – especially Colombia – can benefit from our systems,” assures Robin Swanson MBE Business Development Director for Armtrac Ltd.
Currently, they are supplying the Norwegian-based NGO Norwegian People´s Aid clearing mines and other UXOs worldwide. “Colombian has a 10,000-strong force exclusively dedicated to demining as a special operations brigade. Our system solutions can help them to cut-back vegetation around UXOs and get the detectors at the right level to locate UXOs for disposal,” explains Swanson. Four Armtrac units are in service in Colombia while others are eyed for Chile, Ecuador and Peru.
