Aircraft Configured for Cargo and Paratroop Missions
On 26 December, Argentine Army Aviation received two new Cessna GRAND CARAVAN EX aircraft at Campo de Mayo airfield in Buenos Aires, after a 6,900nmn ferry journey from the USA. Total flight time was 45 hours over an elapsed period of ten days.
The two aircraft are configured for cargo and paratroop applications. They join two similar GRAND CARAVANs accepted by Argentina in 2015, which were configured primarily for ambulance missions.
