Simulator Ready for Training Next Year
As the final stage in incorporating the recently-acquired fleet of Beechcraft T-6C TEXAN II trainers into the Argentine Air Force, delivery of an aircraft simulator has now been effected.
The simulator was incorporated under the acquisition programme for the 12 aircraft signed in 2016. Handover of the device took place at the Goose Creek, SC, facilities of manufacturer TRU Simulation, which provided the simulator to Textron. The meeting was attended by Cdre Major Fernando Valentich, Argentine Military Attaché to the US and Canada; Cdre Ricardo Carano, Logistics Director; and Cdre Anibal Leiva, Head of Air Advisory.
Acquisition of a capable simulator will produce a qualitative leap in the preparation and training of future Air Force aviators. It will be installed at the Military Aviation School, where its operational use is expected to start from 2021.
