Airbus showcases how its cutting-edge, interoperable, and future-oriented technological products and solutions are essential to strengthening the strategic sovereignty and security and defense capabilities of Spain and Europe
Airbus, a leading company in the aerospace and defense sector with nearly 14,000 employees in Spain, is present at FEINDEF 2025, the leading trade fair for defense and security in Spain.
In the exhibition area (E09 and E010, Hall 4), Airbus display a full-scale replica of the Eurofighter combat aircraft, for which the Spanish government signed an agreement to acquire 25 new aircraft at the end of 2024, and SIRTAP, the new long-range tactical UAS (Remotely Piloted System) for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. It is manufactured and assembled entirely at the Airbus plant in Getafe and is an example of the integration of national technological capabilities.
In addition, state-of-the-art UAS models such as the Flexrotor and the VSR700 are on display, as well as the H135 and NH90 MSPT helicopters. The Spanish Navy’s first NH90 for tactical transport and amphibious assault missions integrates an automatic identification system for ship/helicopter tracking and an automatic folding system for the blades and tail to minimize time on the flight deck. Airbus Defence and Space designs, certifies, manufactures, and supports the world’s most comprehensive family of combat, military transport, aerial refueling, and mission aircraft. At its main stand (D16, Hall 10), it showcases the new C295 Maritime Patrol (MPA) configuration, the Eurofighter, and the Eurodrone, which aims to provide Europe with advanced security capabilities and increase its strategic autonomy.
As a leader in the space sector in Spain, Airbus presents PAZ satellite, manufactured and developed by Airbus, equipped with space observation technologies such as synthetic aperture radars that cover a wide range of security and defense needs.
Finally, and following the Next Generation Security report on the perception and attitude of young Europeans toward security, Airbus and IE University has organized several daily youth meetings with the aim of promoting a culture of defense among European. The group’s presence is spread across Hall 10, Stand D16, and Stand E4, focusing on the FCAS program and also on the static display in Hall 4. Furthermore, on May 13, Airbus will hold a conference on the role of the Eurofighter fighter jet as a vanguard of European defense sovereignty.
