Incident Detection Centres to Facilitate Immediate Detection and Reaction
Airbus and SITA announced on 3 April they have launched new Security Operations Centre Services customised to the specific needs of the air transport community, to provide airlines, airports and other major stakeholders with intelligence on unusual cyber activity that might impact their businesses.
SITA’s Airline IT Trends Survey 2016 reveals that 91% of airlines plan to invest in cybersecurity programmes over the next three years. Almost every airline – and airport – is an existing customer of SITA, which provides solutions for the world’s most extensive communications network. Airbus provides a wide spectrum of governmental and industrial customers with detection, analysis and countermeasures facilities for increasingly siophisticated cyberattacks. Together, they will use their expertise to detect relevant activity and use the Security Operations Centre Services to provide appropriate containment and remedial action, ensuring the customer’s digital assets remain safe from attack.
