Strengthens Airbus Capabilities in Cryptography and Secure Systems
Airbus Defence and Space has acquired DSI Datensicherheit GmbH (DSI DS), specialists in cryptography and communication systems for space and defence applications, following a longstanding partnership between the two companies. Terms of the acquisition have not been revealed.
DSI DS will be fully owned by Airbus Defence and Space GmbH and operate under the name Aerospace Data Security GmbH. This will further strengthen Airbus’ cryptography capabilities and enhance its development of end-to-end secured systems.

This acquisition will strengthen our cybersecurity capacities and enable us to create significant value for our customers,” said Andreas Lindenthal, Head of Airbus Space Systems Germany. “Cyber-protection is critically important for any system supporting critical infrastructure. Space based systems are no exception. Airbus and DSI DS have a history of partnering on important products and we are excited to continue our success with the start of Aerospace Data Security GmbH.”
