Claims Duty RDS Is “Revolutionary”
Malmö-based Aimpoint has launched its new Duty RDS red dot gun sight, and says the product is “revolutionary” in its combination of capability and price.
The Duty RDS sight features a dot measured at 2 minutes of angle. This offers greater precision and accuracy for the user and, the company says, is ideal for short- or medium-range engagements. Adjusters for wind and elevation are flush-mounted and waterproof so protective caps are not required. The adjusters provide audible clicks which aid the user in zeroing the device. Brightness is adjusted using a digital keypad, which can be used when wearing gloves. The device is powered by one battery and will work for more than three years of constant-on use during daylight – longer for night-vision modes.
“Law enforcement agencies face many challenges on and off the streets,” said Jonas Ardemalm, Aimpoint’s Director of Professional Sales. “Aimpoint created the Duty RDS as a sighting solution that law enforcement agencies can rely on to provide top performance with very little maintenance. A sight that is always ready, always on, easy to use, accurate, fast on target, and at an accessible price point.”
