AFCEA Bonn: Infodas’ SDoT Now Secret

Infodas’ SDoT Security Gateway 6.0 Receives Secret Classification

Infodas’ SDoT Security Gateway 6.0 is an important product for the secure exchange of information between differently classified networks with a BSI approval for classification of up to SECRET. Issues such as command support, information management and networked operations command are of central importance for all military sectors.

Only the immediate availability of relevant information, including – and specifically – across network boundaries enables a comprehensive picture of the situation to be ascertained and has a decisive influence on the command process.

In this case it must be ensured that the strict confidentiality stipulations are complied with at the network transitions, meaning that a precise check of the information being transferred must be performed.

However, the secure exchange of information is not only becoming increasingly important in the military sector: a series of cyber-attacks that have been widely publicised by the media have sensitised companies from all sectors to the issue.

The “Secure Domain Transition SDoT Security Gateway” product is the ideal solution in this case. It is deployed at the highly sensitive interface between two networks with different classifications. As a “secure network transition”, SDoT Security Gateway guarantees that only data that the confidentiality stipulations permit to be transmitted may be exchanged between the networks. SDoT Security Gateway enables a bidirectional exchange of data between networks with different protection requirements.

Only absolutely reliable security systems may be deployed at the highly sensitive network transitions. The reliability and security of SDoT Security Gateway has been confirmed by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) multiple times for a range of deployment scenarios for use up to a classification of SECRET. This confirmation is based on the completion of a corresponding evaluation by an independent BSI testing laboratory. New security requirements and additional client requirements will be implemented as the product undergoes continuous further development.
