Innovation in Energy Supply Solutions
C2 capabilities in multi-domain operations (MDO) lie at the heart of ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH’s presence at AFCEA 2023 in Bonn, 10-11 May.
The innovative solutions and concepts on display will include:
- Mobile command posts featuring a lower logistical footprint through new energy supply concepts, as well as modern IT equipment and software solutions, not only facilitating supply, but also reducing idle time and reconnaissance capability;
- Operational information provision through deployable, decentralised, self-sufficient server platforms – Distributed Server Segments for Missions (DSE): The Bundeswehr’s advancing digitalisation requires secure and future-proof IT and communication solutions. ESG has extensive experience and expertise in the development, integration and operation of holistic special solutions and deployable, scalable IT infrastructure – in both IT networks and IT services;
- Robust, reliable and sustainable energy supply during operations: ESG has broken new ground in the field of energy supply with the development of the New Prime Power Unit (NPPU) for the COBRA counter-battery radar. The NPPU uses a variable-speed power generator and different batteries for buffering and start-stop technology, which not only sustainably reduces fuel consumption, but also enables its use on unstable power grids. The significantly lower fuel requirement has a beneficial effect on supply and the station’s operating endurance;
- Secure protection against drone threats – reliable, mission-proven, modular C-UAS solutions from a single source: ESG offers customised solutions with powerful sensors and effectors – networked by the AI-supported ELYSION core intelligence software – for reliable detection and effective defence against drones.
Andreas Schiel, Director Business Unit Combat, will explain ESG’s holistic approach: “Command & Control Capability for Division 2025 – Energy Supply” as part of the conference programme.
