AERO India 2021: Rafael Demonstrates Agility and Flexibility

Airborne, Air Defence, C4ISR and Anti-Tank Solutions Prominent

Deeply committed to the Indian market in general and AERO India in particular, Rafael has demonstrated its ability to respond quickly and effectively to emerging needs without compromising quality as a result of its flexibility, its ability to make swift adjustments, and its vast experience in customer requirement analysis and tailor-made solutions. These qualities will all feature in the company’s presence at AERO India in Bangalore, 3-5 February.

A number of themes will be prominent among the company’s offerings:

In the air – turning the weapon systems officer (WSO) into an intelligence and decision-making officer: Rafael’s integrated suite of air warfare systems, installed on any platform, lend it “4.5 generation” capabilities. Short-range air-to-air systems (DERBY MkIII, PYTHON-5), air-to-surface systems (the SPICE family) and a new-generation stand-off air-to-surface system (ROCKS), coupled with targeting and navigation (LITENING) and reconnaissance (RECCELITE) pods.

In air defence – Rafael offers a full range of air defence solutions to meet the imperative demand for air superiority and effective defence. Its multi-layered, mixed weapon systems ensure decisive, efficient response against all types of airborne threats. Rafael’s multi-layered protection systems provide comprehensive protection for military forces and population centres, by delivering victory in the air and full protection on the ground. These solutions include SPYDER, C-DOME and DRONE DOME systems, supported by SKY SPOTTER, complementing the performance of legacy radars and the company’s integrated air and missile defence systems;

In the ether – the BNET software-defined radio network enables future digitized warfare by delivering ultra-wideband, low delay, data integrity and availability for reliable information interchange capabilities. All BNET radios share the same architecture and same baseband waveform implementation in different form factors and all radios of land, sea, and air units participate in one scalable MANET network;

Against the tank – Over 34,000 SPIKE family missiles have been sold to 35 nations, including India. An advanced 5th-generation electro-optically-guided missile, SPIKE has a substantial track record of engagements against vehicular and structural targets – over 6,000 have been fired in training and combat, and more than 45 different platforms have been integrated, including vehicles, helicopters and boats.

Rafael subsidiaries CONTROP (surveillance and reconnaissance systems) and Aeronautics (UAS) will also be present at the show.
