From Sea to Space, Via Land and Air
Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will showcase a wide spectrum of capabilities at AERO India in Bangalore from 3-5 February, ranging from airborne and space applications through high-performance computing and artificial intelligence to non-defence solutions, illustrating its programme of diversification.
Some of the new products on display include technology transfer from foreign partners – for example, a new airborne self-protection directional infrared countermeasures (DIRCM) suite. Additional new developments, such as a man-portable counter-UAS system and airborne sonar equipment, will also be showcased on the BEL stand and in the outdoor display area.
Some 30 products developed under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative – which promotes the ide of Indian self-reliance in defence systems manufacturing – will also be available to visitors. These include, among others, a range of EW receivers, airborne missile electronics and infrared jammers. A range of imagery solutions and network-centric systems will demonstrate the company’s advances in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
Moving beyond the airborne domain, BEL’s land and naval systems will be prominent, including radars, coastal surveillance systems and AFV weapon control systems. A wide range of communications and laser-based products will round out the company’s comprehensive display of capabilities for visitors to India’s premier aerospace and defence event.
