Aero India 2019: BEL Highlights Broad Range of Capabilities

C4I Systems to Weapons, Life Support Systems to Cyber Defence

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will showcase a wide range of capabilities at Aero India in Bengaluru (Bangalore) 20-24 February. The company will highlight products and systems from every business domain as well as its research and development capabilities by demonstrating a number of new products and technologies.

BEL radar expertise will be highlighted with its active electronically scanned array (AESA) and quick reaction surface-to-air missile (SAM) radars, weapon locating radar and systems for the detection of low-flying targets – BFSR-XR and ASLESHA.

Communications solutions on show will include high capacity radio relay, missile data link and software defined radio solutions. Secure tactical computers, ruggedized PCs and Ku-band units for wideband satellite communications will also be featured.

BEL’s electronic warfare and avionics capabilities will be evident in its heads-up display (HUD) for the Indian Light Combat Aircraft, drone interception and countermeasures systems, helicopter self-protection systems, aerostats, flight controls and directed infrared countermeasures (DIRCM).

C4I systems for all three services, integrated Voice over IP (VoIP) systems, secure mobile communications and air traffic management systems will sit alongside a range of electro-optical solutions that includes laser rangefinders, multipurpose reflex weapon sights and long range surveillance systems.

Naval systems on display will include the Coastal Situational Awareness Radar, a diver detection sonar system and a variety of batteries, electronic fuzes and radar systems components. A variety of dual-use technologies – such as a minefield recording system, chemical agent monitoring and management solutions for smart cities – will round out BEL’s remarkably wide range of solutions.

The highlight of BEL’s outdoor display will be its Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System, along with an X-Band active phased array radar and a variety of other products resulting from the company’s extensive investments in internal research and development.
