Aircraft, UAS, Missiles, Munitions and Helicopter Avionics
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will showcase a wide variety of defence and security solutions to visitors to ADEX 2021 in Seoul next week.
On display will be IAI-ELTA’s special mission aircraft (CAEW and MARS2), the HAROP loitering munition, the HERON MK II UAS, the BARAK MX Air and Missile Defense System, and helicopter avionics upgrades, among others.
Every one of the several systems and solutions mentioned above is worthy of further investigation by regional operators and procurement officials – but one area, often overlooked, deserves a special mention. IAI’s helicopter avionics upgrade solutions significantly enhance helicopter operational capabilities, enabling their performance to compare favourably with that of new helicopters. Upgrading helicopters is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing extremely costly new aircraft. The upgrade packages incorporate advanced avionics, sensors, weapons and self-defence systems, tailored to the exact requirements of each specific customer, and are optimised to meet the real demands of current operations. IAI also provides helicopter maintenance, overhaul and refurbishment services.
IAI sees a true partner in the RoK’s local defence ecosystem, and will be paying close attention to furthering cooperation in the region and promoting local business collaborations and partnerships. Boaz Levy, IAI President and CEO, stated “IAI offers a wide variety of defence solutions and technological advancements for the region and for the Republic of Korea. RoK and IAI are natural partners, sharing values and a bright vision of mutual technological innovation.”
