Estimated Value $90 Million Over Five Years
AAR Mobility Systems, a division of AAR, announced on 17 January it has been awarded an IDIQ contract by the US Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia, PA, to produce specialised shipping/storage containers. The contract covers a two-year base period with options to extend for three additional years, with an estimated total value of $90 million (€81.1 million).
This contract provides the US armed forces and their allies with a direct method for procuring AAR’s rapid deployment products, which have been used by troops around the globe for over five decades. The products are designed to offer militaries worldwide a robust, modular and secure method for transporting their mission-critical equipment and for use by troops once deployed.
“We take pride in providing these critical assets to support the warfighter,” said Jeffery Jackson, AAR Mobility Systems Vice President of Business Development. “This contract will ensure that the US armed forces and its allies maintain their full spectrum dominance.”
