With Babcock’s global reach and integration know-how, and KNL’s proven HF innovation already adopted by leading defence organisations, the collaboration is well positioned to deliver new generation long distance communications solutions
KNL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Babcock International Group, marking an important milestone in advancing next-generation communications across the land, sea and air domains.
This collaboration unites Babcock’s deep expertise in strategic communications and systems integration with KNL’s cutting-edge wideband high-frequency (HF) technology. By combining these strengths, the partnership will explore opportunities in selected defence markets, offering robust, secure, and resilient communications in even the most demanding mission-critical environments.
“Our vision at KNL has always been to provide uncompromised connectivity where it matters most. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission and together we can create real operational advantages for our customers. We look forward to working closely with Babcock and growing our offering,” says Toni Lindén, CEO of KNL.
The agreement follows a strong momentum for KNL, highlighted by the recent NORDEFCO framework agreement and a joint order from the Finnish Defence Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration. Valued at EUR 15 million, this procurement of KNL’s CNHF radios underscores the growing trust in KNL’s resilient communications solutions.
