ARQUIMEA presents Q-SCOUT at the DSEI 2025 exhibition
The technology company ARQUIMEA, specialized in highly demanding technical sectors such as defense and aerospace, and HOVERING SOLUTIONS, a leading company in the design of unmanned aircraft for use in underground environments, have signed a collaboration agreement to manufacture and commercialize underground autonomous aerial systems for the defense sector.
The main product of this collaboration agreement is Q-SCOUT, an underground loitering system that is already operational and available for the armed forces. Thanks to its modular payload capacity, Q-SCOUT can autonomously carry out inspection, loitering, surveillance, mapping, and reconnaissance missions in underground and hard-to-access spaces such as pipes and tunnels, without any type of GPS or radio communication, applying advanced navigation technologies, smart sensors, and state-of-the-art materials.
Q-SCOUT is a next-generation, small-sized Subterranean Autonomous Unmanned System (UAUS) that combines agility, endurance, and advanced sensor technology to provide critical intelligence where it is most needed. This new underground loitering system, Q-SCOUT, is one of the innovations that ARQUIMEA is presenting at the DSEI exhibition, a product ready for manufacturing and commercialization for the defense sector.
“This agreement allows us to combine ARQUIMEA’s experience in the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of smart loitering munition systems with HOVERING SOLUTIONS’ specialized knowledge in underground autonomous systems, to offer the armed forces a unique solution that is already available for operation in current missions,” said Manuel Martín Flórez, General Manager of Defense at ARQUIMEA.
For his part, Fran Espada, CEO and founder of HOVERING SOLUTIONS, emphasized: “The underground autonomous drone represents a step forward in the ability to safely explore and monitor inaccessible spaces. Thanks to the collaboration with ARQUIMEA, we have the capacity to bring this highly innovative system with great international potential to the market.”
With this agreement, ARQUIMEA strengthens its position as a European leader in multi-domain loitering systems and reaffirms its commitment to technological innovation and the development of solutions that enhance security and efficiency in defense.
