Reliant long range reconnaissance drone to be presented at DSEI 2025 – together with Quantum Systems’ full-spectrum ISR portfolio

Quantum Systems announced on September 8 a long-term commitment to the United Kingdom with the establishment of Quantum-Systems Ltd. UK, following the full acquisition of Nordic Unmanned UK. Building on local competencies, capacities and value chains, investments of up to €50 million are planned over the next five years.

This expansion directly supports the UK Ministry of Defence’s call for greater autonomy and uncrewed systems under its 20-40-40 strategy – a force mix of 20% crewed platforms controlling 40% reusable platforms such as drones and 40% consumable systems such as rockets, missiles, and one-way effectors. With its full-spectrum ISR drone portfolio, from short- to long-range, Quantum Systems is uniquely positioned to deliver against this doctrine.

Strategic investment in British capability
Quantum Systems’ plan includes infrastructure, local engineering, and partnerships with UK providers. The company will establish Service, Support, Training and Logistics Center (SSTLC) capabilities on demand, based on it’s model of localisation in Ukraine. It will invest in maintenance and repair operations, and build training and test infrastructure, creating jobs and strengthening sovereign capability. A Memorandum of Understanding with Skyports, will be formalised at DSEI UK 2025, showing Quantum Systems’ commitment to the UK ecosystem.

Introducing Reliant: Rise of QS’ newest ISR drone
On the show floor at DSEI UK 2025, Quantum Systems is showcasing Reliant, its latest long range ISR system. Reliant completes the company’s portfolio across short-, medium-, and long-range aerial intelligence missions, reinforcing its ability to provide end-to-end solutions for defence and security customers. Like all Quantum Systems drones, Reliant is controlled via the MOSAIC UXS software, Quantum Systems launched earlier this year.
