One more year, UAV Navigation – Grupo Oesía will participate in XPONENTIAL from May 20 to 22 in Houston, Texas. The Spanish company, hyperspecialized in Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems for UAS platforms, is part of Grupo Oesía and has more than 20 years of experience in the sector. This participation consolidates its role as a strategic supplier for manufacturers of unmanned systems, both in the military and civil fields.
XPONENTIAL, which this year also saw the first edition of its European spin-off, where the Spanish company was also present, has become, over the years, one of the world’s leading events in the unmanned vehicles sector. Since its first versions, UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía has been a regular exhibitor at XPONENTIAL, turning each participation into an opportunity to showcase its continuous innovation and strengthen key relationships with manufacturers and designers of UAS platforms.
This year will be no exception, and the company will present its outstanding advances in autonomous capabilities, navigation in GNSS-denied environments and collaborative operations such as swarm flights or Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T), among other capabilities demanded by the market.

One of the key aspects that differentiate UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía in the market is its comprehensive approach to development, with a strong R&D component in technologies that ensure safe navigation in operations where the aircraft has no GNSS signal. Its autopilots are equipped with an advanced in-house AHRS developed by the company itself after years of research that enables precision inertial navigation. This dead reckoning navigation is also supported by its VNS01 system, based on artificial intelligence, with the aim of reducing drift in inertial navigation. “This is essential in scenarios where aircraft face jamming or spoofing attacks and cannot rely on GNSS positioning,” says Miguel Ángel de Frutos. “Our systems have been tested by specialized military units, demonstrating their ability to continue the mission successfully despite deliberate jamming.”
At XPONENTIAL 2025, visitors to the UAV Navigation – Grupo Oesía space will be able to learn first-hand about the latest enhancements to its flight control system, particularly regarding collaborative operations between manned and unmanned aircraft (MUT), as well as the coordinated control of multiple platforms in formation or swarm flight. These capabilities represent a breakthrough towards more complex, autonomous and interconnected unmanned aviation. A real-world example of this is the recent test flights conducted by its customer PRIMOCO UAV SE, demonstrating swarm flight operations commanded from a manned aircraft.
With this same Czech customer, UAV Navigation – Oesía Group has decisively contributed to obtaining key certifications such as the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) SAIL III, the NATO STANAG 4703 and the Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC). These milestones reinforce the reliability of its control systems and its leading position in regulatory matters, an area in which the company actively participates in Design Verification Projects (DVP) for SAIL IV and collaborates with organizations such as EASA, EASA and EUROCAE in the evolution of the European regulatory framework.
