Naval Comms, Air-Traffic Control and C-UAS Among Germany Company’s Technology Highlights
Integrated naval C2 systems, software-defined radios, EW equipment and drone-detection solutions are among the extensive set of capabilities Rohde & Schwarz will be highlighting at DSA in Kuala Lumpur this week.
R&S’s equipment is widely used in the region, and particularly in Malaysia where its secure communications systems have been used by the armed forces for almost a quarter of a century. Kuala Lumpur International Airport recently signed up for the company’s Series5200 air-traffic control radio – part of R&S’s CERTIUM ATC communications suite – to provide ground-to-air VHF comms.
The company also has a long track record of involving local firms in production and configuring itself internationally to offer through-life support to its users wherever they are in the world. In a media release promoting its presence at the show, R&S points to its “significant investment in setting up local facilities and building up technology expertise in Malaysia. Over the years, the company has trained many local competent engineers to provide total turnkey solutions, always committed to render and effective after sales support to local customers.”
