SIGINT and Maritime Intelligence Solutions
Exhibiting at DSEI 2021 for the first time since restructuring the business into Horizon Aerospace Technologies (HAT) and Horizon Space Technologies (HST), the companies will focus on their BlackFish SIGINT and AMBER Maritime Intelligence systems respectively.
The BlackFish Sat Phone SIGINT system was launched in July and is already under contract for a number of government end-users. The system monitors Iridium, Thuraya and Inmarsat networks simultaneously, small size and 8kg weight making it ideal for fixed and airborne deployment – including on UAS.
“Horizon Technologies has been responding to our customers who want smaller, lighter systems and the ability to simultaneously monitor multiple Sat Phone networks […] We will have an actual production version at our stand at DSEI […] and will be demonstrating the system’s capabilities, including those not in the public domain,” said Horizon Technologies’ CEO, John Beckner, of the company’s flagship product.
Horizon Space Technologies will be showcasing its AMBER Maritime Intelligence Data Service in anticipation of the launch of AMBER-1 (in partnership with the British government) later in the year. Three AMBER CubeSats are already under contract, with interest in the company’s provision of space-derived maritime domain awareness running high.
