The Netherlands is a Key Market for Elbit Systems

Elbit Systems has won two contracts to supply equipment to the Dutch armed forces, the company announced on 16 December.

The first is an approx. $50 million (€41 million) follow-on contract to supply additional digital soldier and vehicular systems over a three-year period, expanding the Royal Netherlands Army’s VOSS soldier modernisation programme. Elbit Systems will supply digital soldier systems and provide vehicular integration of improved combat network capabilities, to include the TORCH-X dismounted C2 system and E-LynX software-defined radios. These solutions have been adapted to specific Dutch MoD requirements and have been field-tested by Dutch troops.

A second contract, valued at approx. $15 million, requires the company to deliver its XACT nv32 micro night vision monocular systems. This initial contract has a two-year period of performance, with the potential for additional follow-on orders over the next seven years.

Compact and light weight, with a flip-up head/helmet adapter, the XACT nv32 provides high resolution images under adverse conditions while minimising line-of-sight deviation; it is suitable for mounted or dismounted soldiers, special forces and law enforcement teams. Elbit Systems’ XACT product family is already operational with a number of NATO countries, including Germany, as well as with the Israeli and the Australian Armed Forces.
