32 Missiles Requested at Estimated Cost $63 Million
The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency informed Congress on 16 November of State Department approval for a potential sale of Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) to Japan.
The Japanese government has requested 32 AIM-120C-7 AMRAAMs, with associated containers, weapon support and equipment, spares and repair parts and logistical and programme support, at an estimated cost of $63 million. Principal contractor will be Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, AZ.
